The Triangle area, anchored by the cities of Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Durham is consistently ranked among the best livable cities in the country. "Midtown Raleigh" as it is referred to, is generally the area around the I-440/40 loop or "beltline" on the north side of the downtown area. "North Raleigh" encompasses the large area around I-540 and all the way to the city limits toward Wake Forest.
